The Tennessee Senate approved a bill today that allows patrons to carry handguns into restaurants that serve alcohol.
There just isn’t much I can say about this…
alcohol + guns. I can’t see anything that could possibly go wrong there.
I often wonder if supporters of bills like this have a romantic view of the old west from watching too many movies. I figure that they want to return to the days of shoot-outs and vigilante justice.

Back in February, Arkansas almost passed a law allowing concealed handguns in church. (House approved it; Senate didn’t).
Generally, i’m against gun control. But this bill is ridiculous.
I don’t know about you, but I’d feel just great knowing the person sitting next to me in the pew was packing heat…
And think about the poor preachers. They’d really have to be careful whose toes they step on. There is that head-on-a-platter precedent . . .
