I’m trying to get back into weight lifting, an activity that I love to do but have rarely found the time in recent years, so of course I had to put together a playlist to accompany my strenuous exercise. Upon looking at my Ipod for some good, heavy, aggressive music to blast loud while lifting, it soon became apparent that I’m terribly out of the loop on this genre of tunes. In fact, what I did have is nearly the same that I listened to back in high school, some fifteen years ago, when working out in the old field house. Here is a sampling of what I came up tonight when I put the playlist on random:
Cypress Hill – How I Could Just Kill a Man
Metallica – For Whom the Bell Tolls
Metallica – Of Wolf and Man
Nine Inch Nails – March of the Pigs
Pantera – Strength Beyond Strength
Biohazard – Tales From the Hard Side
AC/DC – Back in Black
Wu-Tang Clan – Bring Da Ruckus
Motley Crue – Shout at the Devil
Rage Against the Machine – Killing in the Name Of
why mess with a good thing…those are classics
They are, aren’t they Brian?
I don’t really listen to this type of music anymore, so this is really all I could find for weightlifting. Man, it brings me back…
I have a “Feminist Songs” playlist on my ipod that I lift weights to.
So, what is included in the “Feminist Songs” playlist?
My playlist if obviously very testosterone-fueled.
